Post-study work visa UK (Graduate visa) 2026: 2 years or 18 months?
The UK Graduate visa, often called PSW (post-study work), lasts 2 years if you apply on or before 31 December 2026. If you apply on or after 1 January 2027, it lasts 18 months. A PhD gets 3 years. If your course ends near the change, your application date matters more than your graduation date, so work backwards from it.

The degree must be UK-awarded. A split programme leads to UK stay only if the time rule below is met.
